Grant Vernon Hart foi um músico nascido em 18 de Março de 1961 na cidade de South Saint Paul, Minnesota. Conheceu Bob Mould numa loja de discos onde trabalhava e juntos de Greg Norton formaram o Hüsker Dü em 1979. O trio lançou seis álbuns ao longo de sua carreira, incluindo os clássicos Zen Arcade e New Day Rising. A banda se separou em 1988 por causa dos problemas de Grant com o vício em heroína. Em 1989 lançou Intolerance, primeiro álbum de sua carreira solo. Na mesma época, ele formou uma nova banda chamada Nova Mob. O grupo durou apenas cinco anos, mas lançou dois álbuns, um EP e três singles. Seu último trabalho solo foi The Argument lançado em 2013. Grant vinha lutando contra o câncer nos últimos anos, no dia 14 de Setembro de 2017 não resistiu e acabou falecendo. Aqui está a minha homenagem a esse grande músico que influenciou diversas bandas que já apareceram no blog. Descanse em paz Grant e muito obrigado.
